Unlinking an object from other objects

Unlinking one object from another object removes the reference between the objects.

To unlink one object from another object:

  1. Select the object in PowerUser to which the object is linked that you want to unlink.
  2. View the objects that are currently linked to the object as described in Viewing linked objects. Confirm that the object that you want to unlink is listed.
  3. Click Manage Links. The Manage Object to Object Links  dialog box appears.
  4. Select the objects that you want to unlink and click Remove Links. The objects are removed from the list.

    Tip    Press and hold the Ctrl key while clicking to add or remove objects from your selection. Press and hold the Shift key while clicking to select consecutive objects.

  5. When you are finished unlinking documents, click Close.
